African American Genealogy Group Meeting - Tuesday October 11th, 2011, 7 - 9 PM

Oct 07, 2011

We hope you'll be joining us for our next meeting, Tuesday, October 11th from 7-9pm. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Byron W. Woodson, author of A President in the Family: Thomas Jefferson, Sally Hemings and Thomas Woodson. Mr. Woodson is an avid genealogist and has been researching his family connection to Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings for many years.

Please note that this presentation will be recorded so that Mr. Woodson may submit a sample presentation for consideration as a speaker at the next Ohio Genealogical Society Conference. Release forms will be on hand on Tuesday, requesting permission to potentially have your voice and/or likeness recorded for this purpose only. We are excited to see you soon as we all continue our quest to research our roots!

As always, our meeting will be held at Community College of Philadelphia (CCP) - West Philadelphia Regional Center (4725 Chestnut Street).

Attendees should ask at the main entrance where AAGG meeting is being held. There is a parking lot behind CCP and some street parking available as well. It is also within walking distance of the 46th Street stop on the Market Frankford Line.
