Tuesday, June 5, from 6 pm to 8 pm at the David Library of the American Revolution, 1201 River Road, Washington Crossing, PA 18977.  $5 for BCGS members and $10 for non-members.

 

Program:  The Genealogical Proof Standard:  Is Your Evidence Proof?

         Speaker:  Don Drewry, Certified Genealogist

Mr. Drewry will discuss the many issues we are faced with in the process of examining documentation to prove our family relationships, including evaluation of sources and evidence, identifying problems with the evidence, determining whether or not a Proof Statement is needed, and the development of the Proof Statement.

 

About the Speaker:  Mr. Drewry is a Certified Genealogist who has been researching for over twenty years.  He is Vice President and Genealogist for the Valley Forge (Pennsylvania) Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.  He is a member of the National Genealogical Society, the Virginia Genealogical Society, and the Czechoslovak Genealogical Society.  He recently wrote an article which was published in the Magazine of Virginia Genealogy titled "Looking Beyond the First Record".
