John L. Moore, of Northumberland will discuss the experiences and genealogy of Hiram Pidcoe, a Civil War soldier from Williamsport, Pa. A retired journalist, Mr. Moore writes a history column twice a month for The Sunday Item, Sunbury, Pa. He has written six books about the Pennsylvania Frontier: “Warriors, Wagons & Wolves” “Traders, Travelers & Tomahawks” “Cannons, Cattle & Campfires” “Rivers, Raiders & Renegades” “Pioneers, Prisoners & Peace Pipes,” “Settlers, Soldiers & Scalps.”

 

All programs are free, open to the public and held at 1 p.m.at the Thomas T Taber museum, 858 W 4th St, Williamsport.
