Dr. Richards will discuss the life and career of Walter Forward (1786 – 1852) – a prominent Pittsburgher who served as a lawyer, a politician, a judge and Secretary of the Treasury.

This all-day seminar featuring British genealogists Paul Blake and Maggie Loughran will include lectures on:

 

  • Locating English, Irish, Scottish & Welsh Ancestors
  • Pre-1865 Sources for Irish Research
  • Irish Genealogy Online
  • The Best British Websites

 

9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Lunch is 12 noon - 1:30 p.m. on your own. Area lunch options can be found on this map.

Cost for the all-day seminar is $20 for WPGS members and $25 for non-members. $5 all-day parking fee for the Carnegie Museum/Library parking garage.
