The Mahanoy Area Historical Society was the recipient of a large personal collection of documents from a private donor, Mrs. W.A. Berryman.
An extensive collection of church and cemetery records and other transcriptions and family history information from several Pennsylvania counties compiled by Mrs. Walter A Berryman (Doris Fritz Berryman) and donated to the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania by the Mahanoy Area Historical Society. Some records are only one or two pages while others include hundreds of pages. The collection focuses on county, church, burial, wills, family histories and orphan’s court records from Pennsylvania.
Researchers should look through the files, as many of these files were handwritten or are in typewritten fonts that are not read and searched accurately by optical character recognition and might not come up in search results.
