I am trying to locate some records to confirm that Jacob (Trein)Trine is the son of George (Trein) Trine. I have located his confirmation record in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Church and Town records, but have been unable to locate any proof of birth. It seems that members of the family were located in Lehigh, Schuylkill and Berks county at times. As far as I can determine Jacob was born around February, 1801 to George and Maria Barbara (Saeger) (Trein) Trine. He later married Catherine Bobenmyer between 1820 and 1825. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi! Thank you for posting. As you might know, Schuylkill was formed from Berks in 1811, so anything from Schuylkill pre-1811 would be Berks County. Lehigh was formed from Northampton in 1812.
You might want to check some of the other books in the Pennsylvania Births series by John Humphrey, particularly Berks. We have not yet digitized the remaining books, but we plan to do so. In the meantime, we can check this for you.
