GENEALOGICAL ITEMS FROM THE WORKINGMEN’S ADVOCATE, NORTHUMBERLANDCOUNTY, 1833-1838
The Workingmen’s Advocate, a weekly newspaper, was published 1833-1838 by John G. Youngman.1 A handwritten abstract of mar¬ riages and deaths from these issues is in the Heber Gossler Gearhart col¬ lection.2 In the 1970s those abstracts were typed and indexed by GSR volunteer Rita Schive Mowrer.-‘The items below are from Mowrer.
